I recently attended Dronex 2016 Event organised by Drone Racing World in November 2016. I have to say it was the highlight of FPV Racing in Australia for the year. It was indeed a suitable climax to the end of the Racing Season. Race organisation was world class, pilots were well informed and were suitably prepared. The “I want to Fly a Drone” Experience was a really good idea and from the long queues, the future of this hobby is really bright. Again best event of the year, definitely the biggest indoor race, and it was a well run event.

I have to say the DroneX event in Melbourne was a great success. The public interest and enthusiasm at the exhibitors stand was overwhelming. People were so interested in how they can get involved in not only Drone Racing but generally how they can get started in flying a drone. The drone racing event ran seamlessly and the race organisers conducted what was the largest Drone Racing event ever held in Victoria to date. I would love to be a part of this event in the future not only to promote and support the sport but also because it was a fun and enjoyable experience.

The DroneX Arena is a dedicated space within SEXPO. SEXPO is being held at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre from May 5-7, 2017.

DO I NEED TO BUY A SEPARATE OR SPECIAL TICKET TO GET INTO DRONEX ARENA?
No, simply purchase a ticket for SEXPO, and this will get you access to the DroneX Arena.
CAN I JUST BUY TICKETS AT THE DOOR?
You sure can, but they are cheaper on line. Our ticket sellers will be located outside of the entry to SEXPO should you prefer to purchase your tickets at the event.
IS THERE A SEPARATE ENTRANCE FOR DRONEX VISITORS?
No – simply come through the main SEXPO entry and make your way to the DroneX arena.

That’s a shame, as we’d love you to enjoy SEXPO while you’re there and get two great shows for the price of one. But if drones are your thing, then simply come through the main SEXPO entry and follow the signs to DroneX. A warning though – SEXPO may be addictive to some, so allow some extra time when you visit DroneX so you can always swing back around to SEXPO afterwards.
